Liberal Democrats ready for action

Tony Melia, Liberal Democrat Candidate for Blackburn
Liberal Democrat candidates for the two constituencies of Blackburn and Rossendale & Darwen expressed relief that we now knew for certain the date of the election.
Blackburn Lib Dem Candidate Tony Melia said he was looking forward to his battle with sitting M.P. Jack Straw. He said that his campaign would be emphasising the positive policies the Lib Dems had to improve the lives of local people. During the campaign he will be explaining how Liberal Democrats will improve Health, Education, Care for our older citizens, tackle the problems of Crime & Disorder and reform our unfair Tax system.
Rossendale & Darwen Liberal Democrat Candidate, Michael Carr
Rossendale & Darwen Candidate Michael Carr was also looking forward to the campaign. He helped get rid of the hated Poll Tax when he won a famous victory in the Ribble Valley by-election. Michael will be campaigning hard to get rid of the equally unfair Council Tax system and replace with a Local Income Tax.
